True love

  It is my wish that this poem will be read before I say my vows on my wedding day. It is about love. I hope you will enjoy it.

Love is beauty itself.
Love is kind.
Love is compassionate.
Love is understanding.
Love is forgiving.
Love is long-suffering.
Love sees good in all things.


Love is never jealous.
Love is never envious.
Love is never bitter.
Love is never hateful.
Love is never baleful.
Love never regrets.
Love never focuses on the bad times. It only dwells on the wonderful shared moments, and basks in their beauty.


Love holds on to hope when there is none.
Love brings joy when there is nothing to share but sadness and pain.
Love soothes hurt emotions and numbs grief.
Love brings happiness.
Love brings inner peace.
Love brings oneness.


Love offers everything and more, and asks for nothing in return.
Love is good.
Love is God.
God is love.
Love is everything.
